Mobile games have taken off recently and this can be attributed to the fact that mobile game technology has advanced tremendously over the years.
Mobile gaming is the fastest growing gaming industry and accounts for just over 50% of gaming industry revenue, which isn’t much of a surprise considering there are 6 .6 billion smartphone users in the world today.
With the large number of games released on the mobile platform, it can be difficult to determine which ones are worth playing.
To help you out, we’ve put together this list of the top five upcoming mobile games.
Mobile Rainbow Six
Rainbow Six Mobile will be a free FPS game that will feature the same competitive 5v5 matches that Siege players are familiar with.
The mobile adaptation will also include maps like Bank and Border, as well as familiar game modes like Bomb and Secure Area.
The game’s website features ten confirmed operators, namely Ash, Sledge, Twitch, Thermite, Hibana, Caveira, Bandit, Smoke, Valkyrie, and Mute.
Rainbow Six Mobile doesn’t have a release date yet, but it’s expected to release in 2022 and will be available for Android and iOS devices.
Much like the console and PC version, Dauntless mobile will have players take on the role of a slayer, who is tasked with hunting down and killing monsters known as Juggernauts.
You can choose to hunt solo or team up with three of your friends to take down juggernauts and collect crafting materials which you can then use to craft weapons to take on even scarier monsters.
According to developer Phoenix Labs, the mobile version of the game is currently in the initial design phase and a release schedule has not been given.
Dauntless will likely be a free-to-play title and will be available for Android and iOS devices.
Star Wars: Hunters
Star Wars: Hunters is set after the fall of the Galactic Empire and will feature an all-new cast of characters – from bounty hunters to stormtroopers and rebel heroes.
The game will require a constant internet connection as it is a real-time team-based arena battle game, and you will fight in some of the most iconic locations in the Star Wars universe.
Star Wars fans may be starting to get excited as the game is set to release in 2022 on Android, iOS, and Nintendo Switch – however, it’s not yet known if cross-play will be available.
The Battlefield franchise is a master in the AAA genre, and it will officially come to the mobile platform in 2022.
Although information on the mobile adaptation is scarce, Battlefield mobile will feature the same gameplay fans of the series are familiar with.
Players will be dropped onto a large map full of weapons, gadgets, tanks, and other vehicles, and battle against the enemy team to secure kills or objectives.
There will also be four classes available to players, including Assault, Medic, Support, and Recon.
Apex Legends Mobile
Apex Legends Mobile was developed by Respawn, and while the game will mostly feature the same content as the original PC and console, Respawn also plans to make the game a standalone mobile adaptation.
The modes available are Default Battle Royale on the World’s Edge map, Ranked Battle Royale, Mini Battle Royale, Team Deathmatch, and 3v3 Arenas.
Apex Legends Mobile players will be able to get their hands on the first mobile legends before entering the consumer version on PC and console.
